2nd GT CONFERENCE in VIETNAM INFO PACK # 7 (FINAL ADD ON)

2nd GLOBAL TENTMAKERS CONFERENCE 2023 IN VIETNAM INFO PACK # 7 ( FINAL - ADD ON)

Hi IT Eagles and Friends!

We’re 4 days away from our much awaited Vietnam Conference! There are a few more items that I forgot to include in the final info pack. I don’t want you to miss these important items, so I decided to do an add on on our final Info Pack.

This is really the final INFO PACK .. promise !! :)

This is just my attempt to ensure that we will all have a wonderful time in Vietnam. Please be reminded that the number of participants is close to 700 and ensuring the well being of everybody will not be that simple..

Here are a few last minute reminders …

A. EMERGENCY CONTACT INFO

Should there be a need for assistance, our Vietnamese missionaries are available to help you . Just give them our passcode “IM IT” to identify you as IT eagles. :)

  1. NAME: DR. THE ANH DUONG (DR. JOHN DUONG) MOBILE NO: +84 907448021. FB MSGR: JOHN DUONG

  2. NAME: VAN TAN LE (BRO. TAN LE) MOBILE NO: +84 908203587 FB MSGR: TAN LE

  3. NAME: BADETTE BAGALSO (Filipina) MOBILE NO: +84 344347964 FB MSGR: BADETTE BAGALSO

B. PASSPORTS & OTHER DOCUMENTS

  1. Be conscious of your passport at all times. Hold on tightly to it and never let it out of your mind. Losing it is one of the worst thing that can happen to you on this trip. “Better lose your wallet but not your passport … but the best is to keep them both”

  2. Keep a photocopy of your passport with you at all times.

  3. Our office have provided you with almost everything that the immigration officials may ask from you. Please read all of them, so when asked you would know what to present to the officer. Your lack of knowledge on what the documents are for may bring suspicion in the mind of the interviewer and may subject you to more interrogation.

  4. Don’t throw away the documents when you are cleared in Manila. You might need to use them on your arrival in Vietnam.

  5. DON’T bring diplomas, college transcript of records, etc…If you are separated for additional questioning, the immigration officer may ask to see the documents that you have on your bag. If he finds any of those college documents, they will be used outright as proof that you are not going to Vietnam for the conference but only to look for an employment. You will outright be offloaded by the immigration officer.

  6. All government employees are required to present an official travel clearance if they plan to travel outside of the country. By this time, I hope that you have the document ready for presentation to the immigration officer when asked.. You will not be allowed to leave the country without it.

C. SAFETY

  1. Let me remind you for the nth time … crossing the streets of Vietnam is not easy and could be dangerous to the uninitiated. I gave instructions on the previous Info Packs on the safe way to navigate the streets of Vietnam without winding in the hospital. PLEASE FOCUS and don’t let your mind wander when crossing the streets there.

  2. Secure your wallet and passport in the best possible way. I have an American friend who was boasting that there is no way he could lose his wallet and passport that are in his little sling pouch in front of his body. While crossing the street, a motorcycle almost swiped us and we found out that they got his sling pouch already. They even waved at us from afar with a big smile, as if saying thank you!

  3. Tourist rides in Saigon could be tricky. IF someone offers your group a certain amount for a ride around the city it does not mean payment for your group. In the end he may charge you per person. If you complain, you may just find your group surrounded by his friends demanding harshly that you pay up the full amount .. or else!

  4. Please try to refrain from drinking water served in restaurants or eateries on the first days. It is common for international travelers to suffer “travelers diarrhea”. . Buy bottled water and bring one with you at all times .

D. ADDRESS CARDS , LOCAL CURRENCY, etc…

  1. Keep in your pocket at all times the card address of your hotel and Conference venue written in Vietnamese to show to your taxi or motorbike rider. They pronounce the words differently so you need to show them where you want to go by presenting the card.

  2. As soon as you had your P2,500 changed to Vietnamese Dong, you will become INSTANT MILLIONAIRES. Then you will be really confused when you start paying by the tens and hundreds of thousands, for your purchases. PLEASE read the numbers of zero twice or even thrice before paying just to be sure that you are paying the right amount. Don’;t be hasty in paying if you don’t want to regret having paid beyond the tag price.

  3. Please be reminded that the country's form of government is a socialist republic run by the Communist Party. Religious activities are not carried out in the same way that it is done in our country, the Philippines. Please be aware that there are restrictions and policies that you need to abide in. You may talk to our Vietnamese brethren about the spiritual environment in their country .

E. INFO PACKS NOS 1-6 and this FINAL ADD ON INFO PACK

1. PRINT .. please have all of the INFO PACKS printed out and in your possession at

all times. Please use the documents as reference or guide documents that

you could refer to always.

2. READ … please read and re-read in order to familiarize yourself already even before

being on the ground. Those who joined us in the previous conference who got

lost on their way to the venue, regretted not having read the instructions.

Don’t repeat their mistakes !!!

This final add on INFO PACK was not intended to cast apprehensions or even the slightest fear in your hearts. We are all kingdom workers and we know pretty well the challenges ahead of us. The main intention of this final add on info pack is to bring to your awareness the things that may endanger you so that you will be MORE CAREFUL and MORE ATTENTIVE to the surrounding environment. Enjoy everything that the country has to offer but be also sensitive and be on guard against those who would like to steal the joy away from you. It is my prayer that all of us will be surrounded at all times by the Lord’s angels to protect us and secure us away from harm.

ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL TIME IN THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY OF VIETNAM!!!

SO EXCITED …
